England Team Equipment Gets Stolen Ahead of Kansas City Arrival
According to reports, the incident occurred when vehicles carrying equipment to England’s training facility at Swope Soccer Village were allegedly broken into before the squad reached the city.
Officials are currently assessing the extent of the losses, with concerns that training gear, including footballs and boots, may have been among the stolen items.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel and his players were expected to arrive in Kansas City later on Saturday, while the equipment had been sent ahead to ensure preparations at the training base were completed before the team's arrival.
Police responded to the scene on Friday evening and have since been coordinating with football officials as inquiries continue.
A police spokesperson said, "We are investigating a possible theft of equipment from a team vehicle that arrived in Kansas City with items missing this evening. The investigation is ongoing."
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the items taken or the circumstances surrounding the reported arrests.
